In this webinar, our Fusion 360 specialist Harv Saund will be generating a concept sofa. He will move from the initial concept through to production by generating some of the frame elements and then running a test on a portion of the frame to see if it’s strong enough to support the weight of three people. Once the simulation is complete, we will render the sofa in a scene and create toolpaths for 3d printing and traditional subtractive manufacture on portions of the frame. This will take us from an initial concept design all the way through to production, giving us the ability to demonstrate 3D modelling, T splines or freeform design, Simulation, Rendering and Manufacturing. Are the aesthetics of your product important for its success in the marketplace? Do you have competitors you are losing business to because their product looks better or is easier to use? Do your design and engineering teams disagree about who’s in the driver’s seat when it comes to the prototype? Webster’s dictionary defines Fusion as “a merging of diverse, distinct, or separate elements into a unified whole” – and that’s the idea behind Autodesk Fusion 360, a unique design and manufacturing platform that unifies world-class-surfacing and nuts-and-bolts mechanical engineering. Find out in this webinar how you can: • Increase sales of your product by making it more attractive to the end-user • Increase profitability on every design cycle by cutting lead times and reducing re-work • Iterate more often, with more success, to always be the “it” product with the highest margins Join our webinar to get an introduction to Fusion 360 and its capabilities. The webinar is intended to give an overview of Fusion 360, from the ground up talking through the interface, basic modelling techniques, creating drawings, rendering images, animation, simulation and manufacturing output. If you could do one thing to improve the profitability of your company, what would it be? If you’re an engineer, chances are, you’d say “increase sales”. But this won’t happen by accident. In todays well-connected world, everyone knows which products work the best, or offer the best value for money – and those that win base their success on superior engineering. Everything else comes second. Simulation is the most cost-effective and least understood way to improve your products’ function and value. Attend this seminar to find out how Simulation in Fusion 360 can: -? Reduce your time-to-market for your newest ideas, allowing you to scoop up the biggest profits -? Improve customer satisfaction and referrals by reducing returns and breakage -? Make your products cost-competitive, even if you design and manufacture in Europe
